lost at sea

burrowed inside
detached from the shell
i float

like
a jellyfish
or helium
balloon

each day
muscles get tighter
some bones
cracklier

and yet you
remain
a ghostling

save for the
tiny peek
through the hole
in your heart
you let me
see

the wound,
(you love it so).

i put my lips there
i could feel your pulse
i saw the glimmer in your eyes
way deep down
so-many thousand leagues
beneath the sea
a sparkle
down down down

everything there:
collapsed
crumbled

from the pressure
of
depth.
